i have been having dreams since childhood where i see the future sometimes ill recognize the people or place in them and i remeber those dreams but either way i end up with a cold chill whenever it happens to come true and instantly i remeber the dream and the contents this dosnt freak me out and i have studied and studied this and other psychic phenomenon to no avail of improving the ability to have these dreams through the study of lucid dreaming i was able to remeber more of the dreams but i still have them at random intervals and would like to be able to get this down to a more precise pattern have it happen more often yet nothing seems to work is there anyway i can do this?? some general infromation about my dreams: timeline random, some of my dreams will not happen for decades later i had a dream as a child where a man (me now) was in a red shirt and black pants and got in trouble for having dyed hair (the hair looked outrageously dyed{ lots of details are amplified in dreams} this just happened today where i dyed my hair black and purple last night for haloween next week and was almost fired because of it my uniform is red and black and i got the chill as soon as i seen my manager looking at me and bam knew basically what was going to transpire. details in dreams some are crystal clear and seem as if your in real life where others are completely metaphoric and when the dejavu happens your like aha thats what that meant, also a side note sometimes when i dream i get peoples emotions or there real selves instead of them like for instance had a dream about me in college where a fight was going to break out but instead of the people looking like themselves some had hideously monsterous faces and some looked devine some had a shadow cast over them some were covered in blood some were crying some where child like ect ect well this helped me realize what these people were really like the guy covered in blood looked like a normal college preppy style kid but he always had wristbands on the fuzzy tennis ones and i started paying attention and one day he slipped and ended up showing his wrist where there was many many scars there the lady with the shadow was actually a friend of mine just as nice and sweet as can be but i got her drunk one night to try and find out about this shadow and she had been abused as a child and was clinically depressed because of it. theres so many things i could sit here and explain yet none of this helps awnser my question on if there is someway to make this more frequent im not seeking control over it but like anything there has to be a way to exercise this to make it stronger to improve this ability. and if soo how do i do this

Most dreams are messages from the subconscious mind, which picks up on cues and clues that the conscious mind is in denial of. Basically, I believe that there are FOUR types of dreams: 1. symbolic dreams; 2. dreams that rehash the day's events; 3. messages from the subconscious that are straight messages and not symbolic, and finally, 4 psychic/premonition dreams or dreams that actually predict coming events.

I have had many psychic dreams. It is a gift. Those who do not or have not had them do not understand the gift.

Dear Saen,

Prophetic dreams, also referred to as precognitive or psychic dreams, are dreams that seemingly foretell the future. One rational theory to explain this phenomenon is that your dreaming mind is able to piece together bits of information and observation that you may normally overlook or that you do not seriously consider. In other words, your unconscious mind knows what is coming before you consciously piece together the same information.

In a prophetic dream, you see the future through your dream. It is difficult to determine that a dream is prophetic because we can only confirm such a dream after it has taken place. Even then, we only hear of the success stories. There are so many other dreams that do not come true. Thus, prophetic dream may just be mere coincidences.

In the science world, it is believed that psychic powers do not exist. Scientists rationalize that dreams that seemingly come true may actually be a suggestion or guide for you to follow, thus making it seem as if the dream is coming true. You are willing it to be true. Another argument is that you may have a tendency to self-edit your dream to match the outcome. Because dreams are so easily forgotten, your memory of the dream may not be accurate. Yet another theory is that your dreaming mind is able to piece together bits of information faster that your conscious mind. Your mind is able to see what will happen based on information that it has already collected.

Still, there are believers that dreams can indeed predict or foretell the future. Prophetic dreams are linked to major disasters, wars, assassinations, accidents, lottery numbers or even with winning horse race. Such dreams have helped solve crimes. In history, Abraham Lincoln was said to have dreamt of his own body laying in a coffin two weeks before he his assassination. British engineer, John Dunne dreamt of the eruption of a volcano in France which came true.

Having a prophetic dream suggests that you are experiencing anxiety and that you are expressing a desire for certainty in the future. You are looking to your dream to help you make an important decision or to reassure you that you are on the right path.

Type of Prophetic Dreams:

Prophetic or psychic dreams can be classified into the following categories:

Apparitions: These dreams involve the deceased. The dead appear in dream to deliver an important message.

Clairaudient Dreams: These dreams involve hearing voices or sounds that are extremely distinct and clear. The voices appear from out of no where.

Sometimes you do not know the source of the voice or the sounds. It is important to pay attention to the message.

Clairvoyant Dreams: Such dreams are so defined when you are dreaming of something that is happening at the exact same time in a real life situation.

Empathic Dreams: You are deeply moved by an event in your dream, but you do not know why. You experience clear and sympathetic feelings and sensations. This type of dreams usually occur amongst families, couples or very close friends.

Shared Dreams: When you and someone close to you have the same dream on the same night, then you have experienced a share dream. Such dreams occur due to the extremely close connection to one another.

Telepathic Dreams: These dreams involve a message that is being delivered via the dream realm. You are able to connect to someone else's thoughts through a dream. Such dreams occurs with someone who you are close to.

Warning Dreams: As the description suggests, these dreams forewarn of something bad happening to you in the future. Such dreams give you the opportunity to alter the outcome.
