Lately I've had trouble sleeping. I've had terrible, terrible nightmares. They dont even have to make sense but I always wake up crying. I dont really know why. Nothing bad has happened in life really. Everything has been pretty good. But about 2 nights ago I actually was able to remember some bits of my last nightmare. There was blood, a crucifix, and my mother was screaming in either pain or terror, maybe both. I would like some help please! Thanks! Also I do like scary movies but I haven't seen any in a REALLY long time.... OK thanks!

Sensitive and creative people have more vivid dreams and nightmares. The bad experiences in your life don't have to be what you would call traumatic to affect you deeply, especially if you are a sensitive person. It sounds like there is or has been a stressful situation in your life. It could help if you can talk about these things with a trusted friend or someone in your family. If talking to friends and family doesn't help, and the nightmares continue, I would suggest getting professional help. It doesn't mean you're crazy or anything like that, lots of people, I would say almost all people, could use counseling at some time in their lives.

Also, two more bits of practical advice-no caffeine after lunchtime, and pray as you are going to sleep.

Sorry you've been having these bad dreams, hope they end soon!

I am exactly the same as you. I'm having major sleep problems and a phobia of the dark. I picture things and here things. I only really get 3 or 4 hours of sleep too. Here's some things to do that I do: 1. Try to relax, listen to peaceful music. 2. Talk to someone, maybe a counsellor. 3. Stay away from scary images such as Jeff the Killer etc. 4. Sleep with your television on (If you have one in your room). Do these things and: Don't worry, your not going to die in your sleep, especially when your only 13. Yes, your brother is being a douche. Don't listen to him. Siblings always like to wind you up, I have an older brother myself. Last night I thought someone/something poked me o__O Hope this helped, and good luck.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Nightmares come often to me too. its natural! I need to say u said you used to watch scary movies....whatever you watch or hear or say goes into you subconscious mind even without you knowing....it seeps in and is executed sometime during sleep.....the brain is a very stong machine..it modifies what you see and can make u dream several things related to it....so it should not bother you....ofcourse u cannot do anything during sleep but after you wake up there is nothing to be scared of. one suggestion...i had this problem too when u dream it is not that u have no control over your body..u can partially control it...try too keep your breath at a slow pace..it is possible and will let u continue sleeping and not get up with a jerk.

I do 'pink imaging' to help get rid of nightmares. It's a little thing I made up myself.

Before going to sleep, I relax every muscle group, bit by bit, till I'm all relaxed.

Then I imagine I'm full of yucky black smoke. Each inhale will bring pink smoke into my body & each exhale will expel black smoke. When I am full of pink smoke, I can usually sleep really well without nightmares.

As to an interpretation, the mind boggles. Sounds like you're REALLY stressed on something. Figure out what & deal with it, I guess.

What do you eat before you go to bed?

OK I can explain the nigh mares. the blood means life force or energy. some thing is sucking your energy. some thing is bothering you. figure out what it is. are you guilty about some thing. the cross could mean you should accept Jesus as your Savior if you hadn't already. but don't read in to these nightmares too much. i had some crazy ones too. pray a prayer to god before you go to sleep ask for a hedge of protection.

You are close to your mother but have to be your own person. This may involve some pain.

its simply a dream and dreams do not have any connectivity to our real life
